Imagine having an app that answers all your shopping, makeup & fashion and home decor queries. Anytime you have a fashion dilemma, or you have a query on where you can purchase a certain item, you turn to an app, and get an answer in seconds. mishTag, which is an app that launched recently, considers itself as a ‘Quora’ for shopping, and it certainly has the right combination of fun & informative answers. mishTag has a 200k strong community consisting of avid shoppers, designers, bloggers, fashion curators, writers, artists and other experts who will contribute to answering all your questions.
I spent an entire day with mishTag, to see how well it would help me out in my everyday dilemmas. Here’s what I found!
1) Answers to your “I have nothing to wear” or “What do I wear for this occasion” situations
I personally like to plan out my outfits the previous night, especially when I am going somewhere specific. When I am late and already have a million things to do, I tend to get all the more indecisive about what to wear. But like it or not, that always happens and I end up trying to mix and match at the last moment. Moments like those is when I wish I had a friend or someone next to me, to just help me decide and get over with it, rather than stand in front of my wardrobe staring at it clueless.
With its easy to browse interface, mishTag acts as that friend that you so desperately need by letting you put up any queries you want and get answers to those!
2) The “Which looks better” dilemma
Oxfords or flats? Earrings or necklace? If necklace, then which one?
Nobody ever said styling was easy. Too many options sometimes is equal to, too much confusion. I was trying to decide which neckpiece to go for and with a simple click; I uploaded the picture and query onto mishTag. Their community of experts’ answers every question related to shopping. Also, it would be even more helpful if there were a polling feature that could narrow down options and help shoppers make decisions.
3) So much to browse, read and shop!
So apart from addressing your personal styling queries, or queries on shopping, home décor, beauty etc., there’s also access to great advice and product recommendations when you browse the app. Yes we all enjoy shopping but sometimes it is a chore. More so when you don’t really know what you want to buy. Sometimes it’s easier to get expert advice and follow it, rather than try your luck and regret later. Having a search feature that will allow you to browse questions or articles in any particular category would be even more helpful.
4) Become a stylist/consultant
Well I already do this as part of my job description, but for all you aspiring stylists and consultants this is your chance to show off your skills by helping others in need of shopping tips and beauty tips. You can not only answer queries but also add products as recommendations to the questioner, making it easy for them. You can literally become a stylist from the comfort of your home (or elsewhere)!
