Engagement Look with Khazana Jewellery

September 12, 2016

Planning various functions,  pre-wedding shoots, guest lists, location scouting, hiring of photographers, planning of outfits, decor.. the list is endless! From the moment you get engaged and you know that THIS is the person I am going to end up spending the rest of my life with, to the moment every function is done and dusted, it’s a beautiful kind of chaos! So I’ve been trying my best to be the ‘chilled out bride’ all through the last few months and not bother myself too much over trivial matters (and only partially succeeding!). Weddings always come with their fair share of drama!

When we got engaged, it was just the two of us – me and the boy. We never had an ‘official’ engagement function or party. Since our wedding is going to be a pretty small and intimate affair, we decided to skip having most of the functions that are associated with a typical big fat wedding. That meant not having an engagement function. Naturally my first thought was that all those hours pinning pictures to my ‘Engagement Outfit ideas’ pinterest  board was effort down the drain. But when did a function getting cancelled ever have to stop anyone from getting all dolled up? Right on cue, Khazana jewellry launched a few more fabulous bridal jewelry designs and I couldn’t’ resist styling them in a look that I would definitely have worn to my own engagement. An intricately designed diamond choker and a delicate layered gold necklace with diamond pendants was what I chose as the two main pieces around which I styled the entire look.

Chokers in all forms are here to stay, and when it comes to weddings, they have been around since decades. I really wanted a look that was completely ME in every sense. Simple, striking and elegant. And I couldn’t be more happy with how the jewelry complemented the entire outfit. The rich maroon offered a perfect canvas to display the beauty of the jewelry in all its finesse. What I really love though is the ring! Although I’m extremely happy with my own engagement ring, this one really stole the show with the shape, the design and the stone. I finished off the look with two stunning diamond bangles and dainty earrings.

This particular shoot, coordinating between the outfit, jewelry and location, took almost an entire month to plan. The Westin Mindspace Hyderabad, with it’s stunning interiors offers a perfect backdrop for all your wedding related functions and pre-wedding shoots. For all you brides-to-be out there, if you are looking for wedding venues in Hyderabad, make sure to check out Westin. The lehenga is from a little boutique called Savri which has some really affordable skirt/lehenga -crop top options for all your smaller wedding functions. So stay tuned for the next post, where I reveal more wedding destinations, more location ideas for shoots, fabulous jewelry designs and places to shop from for all your wedding needs!

For the next look I will be featuring a strikingly stunning location that would be perfect for your Mehendi function and  of course the perfect outfit and jewellery to complement that look.

p.s – A huge shoutout and thank you to The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace and their entire staff who made sure we had everything we required during the shoot, and organized it all so well! We had a blast shooting there. And seriously it is PERFECT for weddings!
