Fashion always goes around in a circle. Every style and cut that was discarded like yesterday’s dinner will eventually come back to haunt your dreams as a ‘trend’. Which is great for me because a) I am a hoarder of old clothes and b) My parents thought it was cool to dress up a 12 year old on her birthday, in clothes five times her size. These overalls my friends, belonged to my twelve year old self. Yes they still fit. Yes they still look quite new, albeit a little crumpled (you can imagine how long they were lying crushed in my closet if I was unable to iron those wrinkles out!). And yes I haven’t (drastically) changed in size since then except maybe for my height. Have I made you jealous enough? I was lazing around in these dungarees when I decided that, this epic outfit that was every kid’s uniform in the 90’s, needed a place on this blog. Just like how it now has a special place in my closet. Now am wishing I hadn’t thrown away all those old too-short-too-tight tops. They would have made such amazing crop tops. Darn!

I have never owned a pair of dungarees, but looking at your style really makes me wish to buy a pair soon! 😀

PS – new outfit post up on my blog – http://www.theshopaholic-diaries.com/2014/04/work-to-date-looks-with-graffiti-print.html
how pretty…I had one of these …like u said as a kid.
I do feel like funky sneakers would have done a better job with these. 🙂 and a messy bun! 😀
Hee hee…regarding the crop tops, I know, right? And dungarees used to be my favourite back in my childhood too. They were so comfortable and I was WAY less conscious about my slightly protruding tummy back then. 😛
Thanks!
You should! They are so comfy to laze around in!
I think every kid had one of these…
Sneakers are a BIG no in summers.. and a bun is not really my style! 🙂
I has one too and I remember walking around in them feeling like Kajol of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai! 😀
You haven't change in size since 12? I was the same size from 12 to 25. And then well, nature and hormonal imbalance more than made up for it 🙂
I somehow agree with Red on this. I would have preferred sneakers or flat shoes without socks obviously!! They would have completed the look. You should try a side braid, I think you will rock it! 🙂
Don't be.. just wear them without a second thought! 🙂
Hmmm.. maybe the next time I style them. I can't get myself to wear closed shoes in summers at all! And yes I agree about the hair.. I need to start experimenting more.
I want me a pair too! You look so good in them!
OMG you look super cute in them and you are rocking them dungarees.
thanks! 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
Some of my old clothes fit me so well too. But not from my 12yr-old though 🙂
This was an exception I guess!
