One of the best things about blogging is the insane number of talented people that you come across. Even though we are all just fashion bloggers on the surface, everybody is good at a minimum of two things or more. Writing, styling, designing, DIY’s… the list is just endless! Inspiration hits you from every angle and appreciation floods every sense of yours. It’s a feeling that you can understand if and only if you are part of the blogging community. The way you connect and click with total strangers over common grounds is fascinating and thrilling. Art of every form requires appreciation and only a true artist will whole heartedly applaud art without any form of competitiveness or jealousy. Because art cannot be defined. It is not owned by any single person nor can it be replicated by every other person. It is something unique to each individual, which makes it personal and universal at the same time.As you can see I am in one of those ‘profound’ moods today, so before you decide to close this little window, we shall move on to the outfit (which was what I was trying to get at with my first sentence, and then I rambled on). The dress is by my blogger buddy Agam from Trimmings and Lace (remember her guest post here?) It’s a really pretty, delicate little thing in a pleasant pastel yellow. It’s part of her Trimmings and Lace collection, and the best part is, you specify whatever specific changes/alterations you want and she’ll have it ready even better than the mental picture in your head. Customizable to the T! What more can a girl ask for right? The color of the dress and the almost-tea-length length of it reminded me of an evening soiree – good food, good music and great conversations. I could use an evening like that!
