I’ve been extremely cautious this summer about stepping outside in the heat because somehow, this time, I feel it’s been one of the worst summers ever in terms of how hot it is. Hyderabad especially has very ‘dry’ summers and the heat wave can really take a toll on you if you are not very careful. But when you have shoots to do, and a lot of content to create, you have to be up and about no matter what.
Last week I started by day with a morning walk as usual. I typically carry a bottle of water with me, to keep hydrating myself. I was so preoccupied with thinking about my day ahead, the shoot that I had to do for that day, and planning angles/locations/frames in my head that I forgot my bottle of water at home.
I thought I could manage, but halfway through my walk, I began sweating like crazy and was craving something cool to drink. There’s a nearby store where I’ve been going since the past many years, and I almost always walk in and pick something from the freezer like a cold drink, or an ice cream or a chocolate and just tell the owner that I’ll come back and pay later.
This time I noticed that he had stocked up on the new 7up revive which I’d been hearing a lot about. Naturally my hand reached out to pick a couple of bottles and I continued on my walk as I waved goodbye to the store uncle.
The cool, refreshing drink was just what I need on that hot morning. Our body loses a lot more than just water when we sweat. And 7up revive does the job of replenishing our body with fluids and essential electrolytes. Also helps that it has a delicious lemon flavor to it and is absolutely yummy!
I had a shoot the very same evening, and since I knew it was going to be pretty sunny and hectic, I made sure to pop in a couple of bottles of 7up revive in my bag before heading for the shoot. Shooting for the blog usually involves multiple outfit changes, scouting for locations and trying to look fresh ignoring the sun & the heat. But thanks to frequent breaks during the shoot, where me and my photography team sat down gulping 7up revive, we didn’t get as tired as we thought we would.
Since that day, it’s become one of my essentials that I never forgot to carry whenever I am stepping outside. What with its feel good factor, delicious taste and replenishment of essential fluids, I think it’s tried it out too! Don’t you think so?
