Addons SS’14 collection review

March 29, 2014
Last weekend, I had the chance to visit the Addons store to review their Spring/Summer ’14 collection. Addons has been that store that I always walk past, thinking I should pop into it someday, but never actually got around to doing it! I’ve always thought that it looks like a store with some affordable and pretty accessories and bags but for some reason there was always something else demanding my attention! So this time when I got an invite, I jumped at it – and it din’t disappoint at all!

I made a beeline to the jewelry section because I could see a whole lot of ‘metallic’ there. Absolutely loved the chunky gold necklaces that they have. Earrings were okay, there were mostly studs whereas I usually go for long ones. There were some chandelier earrings that were very pretty! Another entire section was dedicated to silver jewelry but it was gold that stole all the attention.

How cute are those tiny skull necklaces?

They also had bags in yummy candy colors. Bright pinks and yellows – perfect for adding that pop of color to an outfit. But (as usual) I automatically went for black and cream. I must say I was surprised that the bags were of such good quality. They even provide warranty for six months. So kudos to that!

There wasn’t much choice in shoes. Just a few pairs of flats that weren’t particularly comfortable. Okay they looked nice, but I din’t like the quality much. At least after I’d seen the quality of the bags, I’d expected a similar standard but din’t quite meet my expectations. The sizes too were not very consistent even thought they were all of the same brand. Nevertheless, there was a mint green printed flats that I’d really liked!
When it came to these chunky necklaces, it was pure love! I loved the colors and they were so affordable (Compared to some of the exorbitantly priced online stores)
I really loved their sunglass cases. Something nice and fun to carry around, although I almost always prefer to carry the case that comes with the brand (with sunglasses its all about the brand!). But they looked quite tempting! They also had contact lens cases, which were so cute although I wish they had better colors and prints.

All in all I could see myself walking away with the entire jewelry section, a couple of bags, maybe a handful of earrings and whatever else I could have fit into my hands after all this! Definitely stepping into this store again… soon!
