Her Looks

Chambray Summer

March 1, 2017

Even though I’ve been blogging consistently since the time I got married, I don’t think I have gone into detail of how life has changed (or not changed) or had any sort of #RealTalk. So I decided to do a ‘Life Update’ sort of post because it’s been so long since I’ve just rambled on about random personal things in my life!

I really have no idea how to answer that typical ‘How’s married life?’ question that gets thrown at me by everyone. It’s different. It’s the same as before. There have obviously been changes in my daily routine, but not so much that I feel life has transformed overnight. What has undergone a drastic change is my dressing style! Instead of lounging around in pjs all day like I did at home (because laziness FTW), I am actually putting in effort to dress up everyday. Also I have started to favor more of Indian clothes than Western. Probably the side-effect of living with the in-laws! It’s been a welcome change though, and I’ve been stocking up on the prettiest cotton kurtas, skirts and palazzos from every online store.

The best part about marriage is that I get to spend 24×7 with Le husband instead of just a couple of hours every other day, before he has to rush off to work. I’ve also changed for the better and become so much more patient and understanding. That tends to happen when you live with a boy who is hyper and all over the place with his monkey antics all the time. Along with new blog collaborations and traveling, I’ve also started a YouTube channel and started working as a social media consultant. So work life has become busy & hectic and I’m loving it! Time has literally been flying and by March 3rd it will be our 3 month wedding anniversary. There is so much to do this year, so many plans and so many dreams that I couldn’t be happier with all the new changes in my life.

We shot this look a few weeks back, as part of a series of summer looks which you’ll see on the blog in the coming days. Chambray is a perfect option for summer and when I found this pretty top with it’s peplum cut and bell sleeves, I thought it made a very unique piece to have in my summer closet!
