As I grow older, my taste in fashion & style is moving more towards elegant, timeless pieces, solid colors, and most importantly quality investments. I still love my trends and love experimenting with them but more often than not, I tend to go back to classics that never go out of style. From being a college kid who could never control her impulsive shopping, I’ve become someone who doesn’t blink an eye, at all the sale signs flashing around. But when I do come across a new brand, that promises aesthetic designs and ethically made garments, I cannot help but sit up and take notice. When I came across IMAIMA, I instantly fell in love with some of the pieces. A fashion brand for the new generation of young women, IMAIMA features collections that are modest, modern and have a touch of middle eastern hand crafted embroideries.
Their Spring-Summer collection consists of the most eye pleasing color palette and one of the first designs to catch my eye was the flared sleeve orchid tint blouse from their Spring blouses collection. What I was most pleased about was how every piece came with a full lining. Since the blouse was so delicate and feminine with a deep V-neck and flared sleeves, I decided to complement it by pairing it with my favorite pair of black ripped jeans.
The second piece was something that I would usually never have picked, fearing the silhouette wouldn’t suit me. Something fitted at the waist and flared at the bottom is what I usually go for my lean and petite frame. But this dress completely took me by surprise. The way it draped and the way the fabric fell, I couldn’t have felt more sophisticated and glamorous in it. It has now easily become my new favorite piece in my wardrobe. The lining is super thick and the color is perfect for summers!
Another favorite is their hand embroidered collection consisting of embroidered kimonos, high rise flared jeans, bodycon corset dresses and more. Their newly launched Ramadan collection has some really cool trousers with embroidery. So do check them out for all your festive shopping!
