I am quite the gadget freak and have been so since as long as I can remember. Back in school the very first gadget that I invested in was a classic Bose speaker set. Although I don’t heavily indulge in replacing and buying gadgets every other month (I definitely would if only I had the money!), I am quite up to date on what the latest releases are and keep browsing and checking reviews whenever I can. Last August, ASUS had launched three new phones with an event in every city. Since then I have been waiting to get my hands on each of these phones. When I received the ASUS Zenfone Selfie, I decided that I wasn’t going to do a regular review of what the specs were because well, you can get that off anywhere on the internet. Instead I would try and show the feature that it is most popular for. Its 13 megapixel front camera that makes it everybody’s favorite selfie phone. I am not much of a selfie person but having this phone in my hand, its hard not to get clicking thanks to the amazing quality results it produces.
ASUS Zenfone is a series of Android smartphones, which takes its name from Pegasus, the winged horse in Greek mythology that symbolizes wisdom and knowledge. According to ASUS it embodies the strength, purity and adventurous spirit of this creature and soars to new heights with each new product it creates. Well, with the kind of grand event threw for the launch and the kind of products I have used until now (the ASUS power bank, the ASUS lolliflash and now the Zenfone 2 selfie), I would have to agree!
Some of the phone’s excellent features:
-> A 5.5″ touch screen
-> 13 MP, f/2.0, 28mm, laser autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash
-> Absolutely no filters needed!
For any blogger technology is THE most important aspect be it for clicking pictures, updating the blog, staying connected to social media etc. It’s not always possible to lug your heavy DSLR everywhere you go. And to have one gadget for every use is not only cumbersome but inefficient as well. ASUS does the all-in-one job perfectly! I put the phone to test by clicking pictures throughout the day, so, see for yourself!
Started my day with a cup of coffee, and finishing that last chapter of a interesting novel that I was currently reading
Got a few props ready for a shoot!
Might as well take a few selfies with the props!
Finished more product shoots. I actually switched to using the phone instead of the DSLR
Stepped out in the evening for a coffee. Always on social media!
Shoots pretty well in other settings as well. Like the ‘Depth of field mode’ for closeups and ‘NightMode’
Spent some time painting!
Some more ME time!
