The last one month has been the most wonderful kind of chaos! I’ve been working on a lot of different aspects of my blog and trying to make it bigger and better, and one of those has been my dream to build a career that allows me to travel. Being able to travel through my job was probably the single most important thing to me, more than making money. When people ask me about how and when I started blogging, and how long does it take to make your blog successful, I really don’t have a single answer. My website came into existence about four and half years ago, but it was just that. A website. Although I was doing outfit stories since then, it was always a personal blog and it was never with any agenda to become a fashion blogger. In reality I consider my blog to be a little over an year old, since Jan 2015 was when I decided to take up full time blogging and actually truly put in some thought as to what I wanted to make out of it, and dedicate a whole lot of time and effort towards it. So to see that the blog has come this far in just an year, is simply too good to be true!
And I have a feeling there’s going to be a lot more travel in the coming months.
Packing for traveling in summers is probably the easiest thing to do. You just thrown in shorts, t-shirts, swim suits, a couple of cotton dresses, and some flats and you are basically done. The beauty of a garment often lies in its simplicity and its utilitarian factor, which is why I love shirt dresses – for the fact that they are so easy to style. From styling them as a dress, to layering under a skirt, to using them as a jacket or a cover up, they make for extremely versatile pieces that can be packed for a vacation. Here, I went for the most straightforward and simplest of looks, with just a little bit of gold accents to elevate the look to somewhat dressy.
