Over the past few days I have been leaning more towards unique one of a kind jewelry that does all the talking about your outfit. In my never ending search for new brands and new products I came across Kaneesha, a brand that is based in the US but focuses on traditional Indian attire. What caught my attention was their jewelry section. They have a wide variety of jewelry right from oxidized silver jewelry to gold plated jewelry. Although the jewelry was all traditional Indian jewelry, I found the designs to be very versatile and that they could be worn with Indian as well as western clothing. I decided to style a few looks with some of my favorite pieces from their website, except with a slight twist on how they are usually worn.

This beautiful multi stone studded maang tikka was the first piece I chose to style my look around. Although they are usually worn over traditional clothes, the one I picked had a more bohemian vibe to it and I wanted to style it in a way that you could wear for an everyday kind of look. I paired it with this bright red kaftan top that added the perfect touch to the bohemian theme. I almost felt like this was more of a mixture of an Egyptian-bohemian-princess kind of look and that just goes to that a single piece of jewelry can be molded to look different with different attires.

For the second look, I chose a very pretty gold plated choker necklace that I paired with formal black pencil skirt and a white t-shirt. Now we all wear slim choker necklaces that go well with western outfits, but why can’t we pair a traditional looking choker with the same outfit? That’s exactly what I decided to do in this outfit. In each of the three looks I had to incorporate an element of white, as the looks needed something to balance out all the color and project the jewelry as the stars of the outfit.

The third look was a chunky oxidized silver choker necklace that I paired with a flow-y white dress/top and leggings. This is a fierce look that is guaranteed to turn heads at any event you attend. Overall, all the three pieces are one of a kind and versatile enough to go with a lot of different outfits and are definitely something that I see myself picking up again and again for various occasions!
